Up for some Pegging guys?

If there is one sexual act that came of age this decade…it would seem that pegging is it. If you missed the bend over boyfriend phenomenon, pegging is generally referred to as a sexual act where a female anally penetrates her male partner with a strap-on dildo. In this post I will answer the question: why is pegging hot?

Physical Pleasure

While the pleasures of anal sex remain a cultural taboo, they are also undeniable. The anus is rich with nerve-endings, the same nerve endings found all over our genitals that give off fabulous sensations.

The male receiving the pegging will find an especially wonderful stimulation thanks to his prostate. The prostate has been referred to as the “male G-spot” and stimulation of the “he spot” in particular can lead to orgasm. Though your male partner may also find pleasure in the stimulation of their anus and rectum in general. He can also give himself pleasure by masturbating during the act, as his penis is free.

The female doing the pegging may also receive pleasant physical sensations. She may find pleasure in the base of the dildo rubbing against her clitoris. There are also double-ended dildos that provide her with vaginal penetration while serving her partner with anal penetration. Another direct way for the female partner to get off while pegging is to use a vibrator.

Psychological Pleasure

Anal sex is taboo, and very often it is the taboo which makes things hot. There could also be an eroticism of the anus going on here too, which if you take Freud for his word, began in childhood during the anal stage.

It is also a chance to step out of gender roles. Some men may enjoy being in a position they’ve seen traditionally as female. Some women might enjoy the feeling of having a penis!

The dominant/submissive flip can also be played with, though it is important to point out that just because the woman is pegging does not automatically make her a “top” or a dominant role. The penetrating role does not have to be the dominant one, respective “tops” and “bottoms” don’t need to switch just by changing the positions. However, by changing the traditional roles there is much more room to play with submissive and dominant roles as well.

So it can be hot, and it feels good but pegging also seems to be a sign of the times. In the past decade pegging has popped up in tons of TV and movies. Is it the ripples of third wave feminism, or part of a post-feminist society? Regardless, it seems we are culturally ready for it, so why not give some thought to the idea that doing your boyfriend in the ass can be…fun?
